How to Use Cash to Fund a Planned Gift

Cash can be seen as a gift for the here and now, but cash is a great way to fund a number of planned gifts as well. See the various planned giving vehicles that can be funded by a gift of cash.

How to Make an Outright Gift of Cash

Online - Complete our online donation form. Your gift will be processed quickly and safely using our secure server.

Phone - To make a gift by phone, call (574) 631-5150. Please have your credit card number, expiration date, security code, and daytime phone number ready.

Mail - You can send us a check or money order. Please let us know if you want your gift used for a specific purpose by indicating that purpose either in the memo line or in a letter to us.

Wire Transfer - For specific instructions for wire or ACH transfers, please contact our Donor Services team at (574) 631-5150 or givegift@nd.edu.

If you send a check by mail, as long as it is postmarked by December 31st, the IRS will allow you to take a deduction in the year the check was mailed. Keep this in mind for year-end tax planning!
